Reporting to the Divisional Director at this renowned Visitor Attraction, and as part of the senior team, this newly created role provides an exciting challenge for a commercially focused, strategic individual to lead and motivate our re-organised Retail team. You will be a creative retail professional with a good understanding of current consumer trends, and a flair for searching out fresh products and revenue sources which will engage our customers, and fit with our unique thrill seeking brand.
Main areas of responsibility will include:
Budget accountability for 10million.
Line management of 9 permanent staff and 60 seasonal employees.
Liaising with the Marketing Director and Group buyers to develop new product ranges and pricing strategies.
Establishing clear and consistent financial and KPI targets for our in-house retail and sales teams, and with 3rd party concessions
Driving improvements to guest scores within the retail and sales areas.
Taking the role of retail Duty Manager and Park Manager.
You will have/be:
Excellent, interpersonal, communication and motivation skills as a leader and line manager.
Comprehensive P & L knowledge and experience of setting and managing departmental budgets.
A highly competent negotiator with proven experience of dealing with suppliers and managing brand partnerships.
Experience of leading a large team within a high street retail chain environment, to deliver challenging targets whilst maintaining a high quality of customer service.
A minimum of 5 years experience within a retail management role.
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
